Local churches, schools, and organizations donate to this ministry. Amherst residents can utilize the pantry for no charge by calling the church office for more information. GSBC works with the Leo Club and the Main Street Organization to provide weekend food bags for students in need from the Amherst School District. This is done during the school year months (namely September to May). Each bag includes: two breakfasts; two lunches; two hot meals; three snacks. The items packed are always single-serve and/or cans with pull-top lids. Examples of said food items include: breakfast bars, granola bars, oatmeal, cereal, pudding​, cookies, chips, ramen noodles, mac & cheese bowls, Spaghetti O's, and chicken noodle soup. ​How can you support this great need? 1) Send money via "Zelle", referencing the email address office@gsbcamherst.org 2) Send a check to: Good Shepherd Baptist Church. 3) Drop off item(s) at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. 1. Mass E-mails: When a request comes into the church office, it is sent to members of the prayer ministry via e-mail immediately. 2. Parents, we want you to feel very comfortable, safe, and secure concerning the care of your children. ​For the Sunday School Hour we provide care and classes for newborns through high school students. During the Sunday Worship Service we provide access to a Feeding/Changing Room for fussy infants and toddlers, with a TV so parents can still hear the message and music. *Please note: all volunteers that work with children/youth of any age must have a background check and then pastoral approval.
